Description
Anthem has taken a significant step forward in home theater audio with the introduction of the MCA 525 GEN 2, MCA 325 GEN 2, and MCA 225 GEN 2 power amplifiers. These amplifiers, available in 5, 3, and 2-channel configurations, represent a leap in performance, providing more robust and efficient power, along with enhanced reliability. They are designed to deliver clean, pure sound with lower total harmonic distortion (THD) and minimal background noise, ensuring a supremely quiet audio background.
Key Features:
Amplifier Redesign: The MCA GEN 2 series represents a comprehensive redesign, focusing on reducing internal cabling for a smoother circuit path and unobstructed audio performance. The amplifiers feature custom low-noise, high-power toroidal transformers, high-current bipolar output transistors, high-quality filter capacitors, advanced power supply regulators, oversized aluminum heatsinks, custom-designed dual binding posts, and patented auto-on/off circuitry.
Engineered for Reliability: Anthem has used its extensive experience to engineer reliability into the MCA GEN 2 Amplifiers. These amplifiers have minimized common amplifier issues, including inrush current. In standby mode, they consume only 1-2W of power. They can be turned on manually, through triggers, or by sensing input signals. The amplifiers feature larger, more conductive audiophile binding posts to maximize contact with speaker cables.
Advanced Load Monitoring (ALM) Technology: The new generation ALM technology monitors internal temperature, current, and voltage, ensuring safe and uninterrupted long-term operation while eliminating the need for internal fuses. ALM engages only under extreme circumstances to protect your amplifier and speakers. It never interferes with the signal path, and the LED on the front panel confirms the status at all times.
Design: Anthem's design philosophy revolves around delivering premium performance and convenience at a reasonable price. The company invests thousands of hours in selecting and testing components, designing its circuit topologies, and ensuring robust power supplies for maximum long-term quality and reliability.
Limitless Possibilities: The modern home theater demands support for multiple speakers and subwoofers to handle the latest object-oriented audio codecs like Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. Pairing an AVM 70 or AVM 90 A/V Processor with a stack of MCA amplifiers provides the sound quality that rivals commercial cinemas. The scalability of the MCA series allows you to purchase only the channels you need for your ideal home entertainment setup. AVM Processors can now manage configurations of up to 15.4 channels with ARC Genesis Room Correction for optimal sound.
Massive Toroidal Power: MCA amplifiers achieve incredible dynamics through conservatively rated power supplies with high rail voltages. Low flux toroidal power transformers minimize magnetic field radiation, ensuring ultra-quiet performance and the pure, clean, low-noise power necessary for reproducing home theater dynamics and complex music recordings.
The Anthem Advantage: Backed by over 35 years of hands-on design, innovative audio engineering, and industry-leading performance, Anthem products provide unmatched reliability and functionality. Anthem electronics are the preferred choice of knowledgeable audiophiles, professional musicians, and engineers worldwide.
The new MCA GEN 2 Power Amplifiers from Anthem deliver a heightened level of audio performance and an exceptional home theater experience.
